Product: 2019 Yunnan Raw (Sheng) Pu-erh Tea Cake [Bulang Shan]
Ingredient: Yunnan large-leaf sun-dried fresh green tea
Harvest Time: 2019 Spring
Production Date: 2019
Shelf Life: Proper storage with aging pu-erh develop excellent aromas
Origin: Bulang Mountain, Yunnan Province, China
Taste Profile:
- Character & Aroma: This Bulang Shan ancient tree raw Pu-erh delivers a bold and powerful experience, characteristic of the legendary Bulang tea region. Its full-bodied liquor carries a deep, layered aroma with notes of wild mountain herbs, floral hints, and a distinctive "wild at heart" fragrance that is both intense and inviting.
- Taste & Mouthfeel: Strong and slightly bitter at first, the bitterness quickly transforms into a rapid, long-lasting sweetness with excellent saliva production (生津). The tea is full-bodied and thick, with a clean, bright liquor. The tea energy (cha qi) is robust and penetrating, leaving a lasting, comfortable sensation.
- Aging Potential: Like all great Bulang Shan raw Pu-erh, this tea improves with age. The 2019 spring harvest has already begun its transformation and will develop smoother, richer, and more complex flavours over time, rewarding patient storage.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep sealed and in an odour‑free environment.
Packaging:
- Single Cake (357g): Each tea cake is individually wrapped in a food‑grade aluminium foil resealable pouch to preserve freshness, aroma, and flavour over time.
- Set of 7 Cakes (1 Traditional Stack): A full traditional stack (一提) contains 7 cakes, neatly packaged together — a classic and elegant presentation that protects the tea while enhancing its gifting and storage appeal.
Features:
- Bulang Shan Ancient Tree – Sourced from ancient tea trees in the renowned Bulang Mountain tea region, known for producing some of the most powerful and characterful Pu-erh teas in Yunnan.
- Strict Craftsmanship & Premium Quality – Hand-picked and crafted using traditional methods with meticulous care. The 2019 spring harvest delivers a full-bodied, robust flavour with the distinctive "bold" character that Bulang Shan is famous for — complex, satisfying, and built to age.
- Ages Beautifully Over Time – Like all great raw Pu-erh, this tea continues to improve with proper storage. Its profile will grow deeper, smoother, and more complex, offering an increasingly rewarding drinking experience with every passing year.
