It is exactly the same as in the photos, and it is actually nice to the touch. It absorbs more water than I expected.

Good service and fantastic product as well, it's more of a place mat I would say then a towel but can be used as both, it's got a nice heavy velvet type material on the bottom that makes it stay flat and makes for beautiful placement.
