This is my first Yixing teapot, and am very pleased with my purchase. Parcel arrived very securely packaged. The teapot comes in a cloth pouch, inside a padded gift box, and with optional cord to attach lid to handle. I love seeing the signs of skill that went into its crafting, and its shape is so cute. The clay has a faint earthy metallic smell (I find pleasant), but doesn’t impact taste, and lessens with use. As a long time lover of pottery, I’m happy to add to my collection, and learning new ways to brew and enjoy tea.
